Basementia's Privacy Policy

At Basementia™ we are concerned about your privacy. That is why we have developed, and strictly implement, the following policy:

    What information we collect

  • We require certain information from you for the purpose of conducting business with you. This information includes your shipping information for order delivery, and such contact information as may be required to verify or resolve questions about your order. In the case of printing services, this also includes the information which we print for you.
  • Like all server environments, our web server collects certain statistical data to analyze the flow of internet traffic patterns. Nothing about this data is personally identifyable.
  • If you contact us through one of our websites, we will log your IP address. This is a modest spam prevention tool to block users who abuse our web contact form service.
  • How we use your information

  • If you pay us to do so, we will print your information on various business items, such as business cards, which we will then ship directly to you.
  • In some cases, if you are a very special client, we may send you holiday greeting cards or special offers via US Post. If you request that we never send you mail, we will make sure to remove you from any future mailing lists.
  • We will never sell, share, or otherwise provide any information about you to any third party, unless we are forced to by a signed order from a judge. This latter possibility is purely hypothetical, we don't expect it to ever happen in real life.
  • Secure online payments

  • All credit and debit card payment transactions take place on PayPal's secure server. (No login or PayPal membership is required.) Your financial details such as credit card numbers are never disclosed to Basementia™; all we know is that you paid, and that's good enough for us!
  • We hate spam

  • You might think you hate spam; but we hate spam even more than you do. Basementia™ does not send unsolicited bulk e-mail, ever. Any e-mail we send to you will be specific to an order or query you have placed with us. Our servers are configured to prevent the sending of bulk mail by us or by our website hosting clients. If we find that one of our clients has created a workaround which allows them to send spam, we will terminate that account immediately. This has never happened.
  • If you ever receive a spam message which claims to be sent from one of Basementia's domains, please understand that this is a malicious, fraudulent message sent by unprincipled hackers employing forged headers. In essence, a spammer can make a spam message look like it was sent to you from anyone they want: the President of the United States, or yourself, or anyone at all. Any spam pretending to be from Basementia is a forgery. We do not send spam. For more information on forged headers, see Wikipedia, or Google the term.

Refund Policy

The following legal notice is mandated by our payment processor.

Credit and debit card payments made to Basement Productions, Inc. doing business as Basementia™ are processed by PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account, simply pay with your card as you would on any other site.

PayPal protects the privacy of your payment information: the card number is never provided to our company, so we never even find out what type of card you used to make the payment. Regardless, one of those card issuers has induced PayPal to compel us to post the following information regarding refunds. We think all this is rather silly because so far none of this has ever become an issue.

Design Services: Refunds are not available for design services. In most cases, payment is due before we will begin work on your project. Once we receive your payment, we begin to invest our time in your project. We will never get that time back, so a refund is not an option. You should be sure you want to start a project before paying us. As a responsible business owner, you know this already, and that is why this will to continue to not be an issue. We take pains to clearly identify each project's goals and to fulfill those goals so every customer comes away satisfied.

Manufactured Goods: We sell books and music CD's through our websites. We make every effort to ensure that shipments arrive in a timely manner via a trusted carrier. In the event you do not receive your shipment, we may replace the item or refund your payment, solely at our discretion, determined on a case by case basis. In most cases we will replace the item but some of the items sold through our websites may exist in a small stock quantity, especially items which we sell on behalf of a third-party author or musical artist, and in certain of these cases replacement may not be possible. Returns are not allowed unless you can demonstrate that we shipped you the wrong item. Again, this has never happened.

Custom Manufactured Goods: We produce custom manufactured goods through our printing website at www.beprinting.com. Our printing website has its own specific terms and conditions posted here. To quote from that page: "In the unfortunate event that you should be dissatisfied with your order, please send it back to us with an explanation of what is wrong with it. We will replace your order or refund your money; solely at our discretion. Any shipping cost incurred in returning items to us shall be the customer's responsibility."
